Morrell Quilt
The lastest blocks finished.

This is the first brodiere perse block, hmm suppose it was easy as I just cut these flower paisley shapes out and needle turned them. I have played around with some other ‘cut outs’ but really not sure about them. Might get you all to decide if they should go in the quilt or not (when they’re done).
This quilt was designed by Di Ford (nee Primarily Patchwork) and is a class I’m attending at Needles & Pins in Warrandyte, Vic. with a group of friends. I just loved the pieced blocks and of course the applique blocks! Not sure about the broderie perse, but I’ll give some a go and see what I think. I may end up doing more applique blocks. You might also like to check out my friend Vikki’s colourway too.

That’s lovely Jayne… so you didn’t use fusible? How hard was it with the fiddly bits needleturning?
